then took off. fortunately nobody got hurt but police warn the guy is dangerous. looks it, that is for sure. if you have see him, stay away and call 911. and at least 30 taliban fighters are dead after an american-led raid in afghanistan. the raid is in response to insurgent violence that killed at least a dozen afghanistan civilians. but there is tragic news out of afghanistan for a maryland amil lance corporal jordan chrobat was killed in afghanistan. earlier we told you about the story but showed you the wrong photo. this was the young hero that made us and his family proud. >> brian he was just 24 years old, a tough warrior on the battlefield. saturday the taliban shot and killed him. it was the second tour there, first in afghanistan. the family says there was no base for him. he lived out of a backpack, jordan chrobat grew up in maryland, later married and was

stationed in north carolina. his parents and three siblings are not grieving alone. we caught up with them at the grandparent's house in maryland. the family is comforted by each other and a large circle of friends. >> but the pain that is in me is just incredible. and i don't know how i'm going to do this. i'll never -- have that shiny spot in my life again. i mean i have my other children who they have their shiny spots. but his spot won't be. just my memories. and i have great memories. >> jordan married in 2007. his wife, amber, was notified at the same time as his parents, which is what he asked for before he left. his body arrived yesterday at the dover air base. he was stationed in north carolina, but will be buried near his family in frederick. he leaves behind siblings, o'connor, and two sisters, 13

and 21. and news edge watching over two developing stories, the first, iran's long-range missle testing that happened today there, they said they can reach any place that threatens it, including israel and parts of europe. and american military bases in the middle east. they can travel as much as 1300 miles. it comes on the edge of the information that they were secretly developing a uranium enrichment base as well. and 240 people now confirmed dead, storm dumped a month's worth of rain in manila and surrounding areas in 12 hours. nearly two million people are without homes or at least they're damaged. the u.s. has now given more than 100,000 to relief efforts and sent more man power to help out. and looking at the news edge, the banner of the jor, turning heads. it is president obama made up

five. brian we begin tonight with a major health alert. number five is a major warning sign of strokes. researchers say a big study is on the way. it follows a less serious attack. researchers say they need to come up with a better way to learn the risk. number four, cancer research out with a list of recommendations to stop cancer. including limiting salt in processed foods, limiting red meat, alcohol, sugary drinks and getting 30 minutes of exercise a day. and number three, heating oil prices barely half of what they were last year when they hit a record high of five a gallon. and now if they have they go up, it shouldn't be bad. and national price for a gallon of regular dropped to a low for the first time in two

for the most part, sunny, some cloud cover tomorrow afternoon. what you will talk about tomorrow is a bit of a breeze that kicks around out there. nothing that requires a wind advisory. but it will be a ticeable breeze that adds a little bit more chill to the air. we're looking at the area, the showers moving on through. but check out the temperatures, definitely a warm one around the region. up to 80 degrees, pushing us south, wind before the frontal system came through. this was a pretty strong front and temperatures were behind it. dulles, 80, bwi 77 with dry air, baltimore at 54, wilmington, 56, winchester, 66, out in this area you could see upper 40s. so chilly tomorrow morning. partly cloudy skies for everybody. 54 in the district, winds a little later tonight will begin to gust up just a little bit behind the frontal system. for tomorrow, we start out with sunshine but a chill in the early morning. ending up being a breezy and

cooler day. and we also see some clouds build up in the afternoon because of the colder air. temperature 71 degrees, with gusty winds at 10-20 miles per hour, occasionally up to 30. today, there was also gusty winds, true view, showing you what you can watch earlier today. the showers rushing out of town, moving so fast to the east at about 45-50 miles per hour. but there was a little bit of lightning out there. major pool of cold air, another front coming across erie, in the area tomorrow, while it comes through dry also it will come through with a bit of a breeze, keeping the chill going. what should you expect tomorrow morning? 55 degrees, chilly, starting the day. but a lot of sunshine. by noon up to 67 degrees, up to partly cloudy skies. cloudy or late in the day. by 5:00 only 69 degrees and probably more clouds and sun.
